Associates
The Co-operative College is seeking experienced, committed and qualified individuals to become part of its associate team.
Associates work for the College in different capacities on a freelance basis, for example:
- Materials development.
- Delivery of courses.
- Research.
- Project management.
The College is a centre of excellence in training, learning, consultancy and research for the co-operative and mutual sector. Our role is to support the growth and development of the co-operative and mutual sector by helping co-operative and mutual enterprises (CMEs) to understand their distinct identity, and how that identity can help them become commercially successful. The College sees CMEs as a key part of a dynamic, broad and diverse social enterprise sector, able to make vital contributions to inclusion and citizenship.
The College offers a range of tailored member, director, staff and management development programmes to the co-operative and mutual sector. These cover a range of tailored courses that are run locally and regionally for clients as well as an extensive selection of open programmes. 'The College is an accredited centre for Chartered Management Institute and Edexcel programmes. We are also involved in an increasing number of regional funded projects aimed at developing the co-operative and mutual sector.
We are currently seeking associates who are experienced in the following areas:
- Finance and Accounting.
- Governance.
- Co-operative Legislation.
- Working with lay or non-executive directors.
- Bid writing.
Our method of recruitment includes attending a one day selection centre at the College. The purpose of the day is to give you the opportunity to meet College staff, find out more about the co-operative and mutual sector and to demonstrate your skills to the College team.
