An Escape Room without walls
Or at least, most of them.
Who we are:
Co-Operatives is a locally owned business run by three friends in Boston, MA. When we first started back in May, 2022, we could only be found at the occasional board game convention.
In December, 2023 we were fortunate enough to be able to open a physical location in the heart of Quincy Market and have had the absolute pleasure of entertaining more than 10,000 people since opening our doors.
How it Works:
Players are divided into two groups and placed on either side of a handmade wooden wall embedded with puzzles and secrets to discover. Everyone can still see and hear each other, they just have access to different information that they will need to combine.
Our Mission:
We all enjoy doing escape rooms, but we’ve found that the usual formula often leads to an unbalanced experience where one person solves a majority of the puzzles. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with that, we find it hinders the fun of the other players.
Our solution: Separate the players and limit their access to information.
This forces players to communicate and work together because every single puzzle requires cooperation with other people.
